Sonographers

Christen 
 BExSc | DMU - CARDIAC

Christen is a registered accredited Medical Sonographer - Cardiac (member no. 2317) with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) since 2001.

Christen graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science in 1997 and a Post Graduate qualification of Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (DMU - Cardiac) in 2001.

 

Christen has had extensive experience in cardiac ultrasound for nearly 20 years in both private cardiology groups and in the hospital sector performing and interpreting echocardiographs for both outpatients and inpatients. 

 

Christen participates in both formal and informal echocardiography mentoring programs within various cardiology workplaces, training tertiary Echocardiography students & also with the Australian Institute of Ultrasound up-skilling the educational needs of both sonographers of other disciplines  and medical practitioners.

Kirsty

Grad Dip HlthSc    DMU - CARDIAC

Kirsty is a registered accredited Medical Sonographer – Cardiac (member no. 2901) with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR) since 2003

 

Kirsty began working in cardiac investigations at Orange Base Hospital in 1997.  She performed ECG, stress testing and pacing in a trainee role, before passing, with commendations, the Associate examination through the Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (NZ) in 1999.

 

After completing these studies, Kirsty moved into a transthoracic echocardiography training role and completed a Graduate Diploma of Health Science (Medical Sonography-Cardiac) through the University of Sydney in 2003.  After gaining further experience in transthoracic echo, stress echo and dobutamine stress echo, Kirsty moved to Queensland in 2005, where she gained experience in contrast and strain imaging.

 

Kirsty is currently a member of the Australian Sonographers Association.
